Skully quickly threw some clothes on as he got up and ran downstairs. "Woo! Finally getting off my lazy ass and going on a journey as a Pokemon trainer! TO THE LAB!" he said as he ran out the door. He kept running out of excitement as he made his way down the road and burst into the Pokemon Laboratory. "Mom! I'm ready!"
Skully's mom turned around and gave her son a weird look. "You look like you just got up. I really don't think your set to go on an adventure just yet. Don't you need supplies?"
"No, mom! I mean, I'm ready to pick my starter Pokemon!" Skully responded.
"Oh well, first I need to tell you some rules that have changed since the last people left. First of all, there is no limit to how many Pokemon you can have with you, but you can only use seven in battle. Second of all, it seems all the Pokemon have migrated to all the regions, including this one. Third, there is no need for a Pokedex. We have all the info we need. Fourth, you can catch legendaries now, but it's almost impossible to catch them, let alone find them." Skully's mom said. "Anyways, I'll let you have a starter and one other, but I advise you to start off with something easy like a Pidgey or Slowpoke."
Skully nodded. "Go it." he said as he walked over to a shelf that had about one of everything that wasn't a legendary. "Woow....." he said as he turned his attention to a shelf that was in the corner and only had about twenty or so Poke Balls on it. "Why are these separate?"
"Well, they have problems, Skully. They're.... How do I put this..... Different from others....." his mom said.
"Well, what about these two?" Skully asked as he picked up two Poke Balls, one containing a Cyndaquil and one containing a Weedle.
"Well, the Weedle wants nothing to do with people. She won't even look at people who are talking to her and she Poison Stings you if you try and touch her. The Cyndaquil just doesn't seem to take an interest in females, making it impossible to breed. He does go after the males a lot though..." she said.
"I want these two!" Skully said excitedly.
"Skully, if the Weedle gets to a Beedrill, she'll murder you due to her temperament!" Skully's mom said and sighed. "Is those two REALLY the ones you want?"
"Yes, mom.... I think the Weedle just needs some love and attention and in time, she'll see it's not so bad." Skully said as he smiled.
"Hopefully.... Anyways, I've been working on a few inventions, but they're not quite done yet..... One of them is the thought translator. You wear it on your wrist and it won't get ruined or broken. What it does is more specifically designed to help you understand what your Pokemon are saying. Another is a Poke Ball specifically designed for legendaries; that way it's easier to catch them. The last one is a Pokemon anthropomorphizer. That one is just for you since I know you have certain fantasies, but please! PLEASE! Don't let anyone see you doing things.... On the other hand, I've found a way to distinguish males from females in every Pokemon; even legendaries have genders, but all you have to do is throw any kind of Poke Ball at a Pokemon and when you catch it, it'll tell you the gender by either the little strip turning blue for male or pink for female. If you ever happen to catch a legendary, PLEASE bring it back here so I can see! I won't do any tests or anything, but I want to see it up close."
"Thanks mom! Well, I have your number! I'm going to go grab my things and get ready before seeing if my friend, Isis is ready." Skully said as he ran back to the house and started packing, making sure he had plenty of Potions, Antidotes, Luxury Balls, money, and clothes. "Alright, let's meet my starting team!" he said and let out the Weedle and Cyndaquil.
The Weedle looked at the boy for about two seconds before looking away.
"Aww.... It's alright little Weedle......" he said as he picked it up and got stung. "Oww....." he said, but still held onto it and hugged it as he got stung repeatedly. "Come on! What do you have against a hug!" Skully said and put the Weedle down and took an Antidote. "Alright little lady, your name is BB." he said and looked at the Cyndaquil, who was just sitting down and staring at the boy. "Aww~ You're so cuuute!" he said and picked the little Pokemon up and held it.
"Cynda! Cynda!" the Cyndaquil said in happiness and hugged the boy.
"Oh wow, that's really warm!" Skully said and hugged back. "Your name will be Combustion." he said and put them both back into their Poke Balls before heading out with his bag. He went next door and knocked on his friend's door. "Isis! Isis! It's Skully! Are you ready?"
The door swung open, revealing not Isis but her older brother, Derrick, who smiled to Skully, " Hey, Skully my man! I think Isis is still sleeping upstairs, I'll go get her," he said, leaving the door open as he ran up the stairs.
Walking down the upstairs hall, he stopped in front of the door to his little sister's room, grabbing the knob and trying to turn it, but it wouldn't open.
" Right, I forgot she locks the door to her room each night," he muttered, before he knocked hard on the door, " Yo! Izzy! You up?"
" Let me sleep for five more minutes!" she shouted back from behind the door, sounding a bit irritated that he was making her wake up, since she usually slept in.
Derrick grinned a little, before he leaned against the wall next to the door, " You sure? You haven't forgotten that you were gonna go on a Pokemon journey with Skully starting today, did you?"
There was a pause, then the sound of feet dashing about the room sounded, and, moments later, there was the click of the door being unlocked, and Isis burst out of her room, fully dressed, hair brushed, and shoes on her feet.
" Of course I didn't forget! Don't be ridiculous~!!" she said, trying to keep a serious look on her face, but failed as she smiled and burst into giggles, " But I should get going now, that was Skully at the door, right? Kay thanks bye!"
She turned and started to head downstairs, but was stopped when Derrick stepped in front of her and blocked her way, " Now hold on there, little missy," he said as he frowned at her for a moment, then smiled and spread his arms, " You're not leaving without giving your big bro a hug, are ya?"
Isis smiled and jumped, wrapping her arms around him as she hugged him tightly, " Of course not~ I'll miss you, Derry," she said, nuzzling into his shoulder.
Her big brother laughed, " Heh, no need to worry, Izzy. If you ever need something, or if you miss me or ever get homesick, you have my number in your phone, all you have to do is just give me a call. All I want for you to do is be careful and have fun on this journey, alright?" Derrick said as he hugged her back, " It'll be pretty lonely and quiet around here without you and Skully, just try to give me a call every once in a while, I'll miss you so much, Izzy..."
Isis nodded and held up her phone, " I promise~ I wish you could come with us, but someone needs to take care of the house... Anyways, I should go now, wouldn't want to keep Skully waiting, bye, big bro, miss you!" she said, calling out the last part to him because she was already rushing down the stairs.
" Bye, Izzy! Good luck and have fun!" Derrick called after her, before he looked into her room and saw it was a bit messy, " Kids these days, she could've at least cleaned up before leaving," he said as he shook his head, before going in and starting to pick up the mess.
Upon reaching the front door, which had been left open from when her brother answered it, Isis ran outside and glomped her friend as she came out, " Skullyyyyy~!!!" she squealed happily, before she stepped back a bit and smiled to him, " So we're going on a Pokemon journey, huh? Sounds exciting~!! Did you already get your starter Pokemon from your mom's lab?"
"Yes, I have! Have you already gotten your? My mom's working on some inventions at the moment. She'll let us know when they're done!" Skully said as he hugged his friend. "Here, I'll show you the two I got!" he said as he let out his Weedle and Cyndaquil. "The female Weedle is BB and the male Cyndaquil is Combustion." he said as he picked up both.
BB stung Skully again and jumped down.
"Owwww....." Skully said as he rubbed the spot. "Well, not poisoned this time....." he said and smiled at the Cyndaquil.
Combustion hugged his trainer and nuzzled him. Then he looked up and smiled as he warmed his own body up and, in turn, warmed up his trainer.
"Well, it's nice to know one of my Pokemon likes me!" Skully said as he hugged the little Cyndaquil back. "My mom said these two have 'issues'. BB doesn't like people at all and Combustion is apparently gay, as he doesn't go after the females, but does tend to go after the males quite a bit." he said and returned the Weedle to her Poke Ball and left Combustion out. "Since you seem to be so attached to me, I'll just let you stay out here with us."
"Cynda! Cyndaquil!" he said and nuzzled the boy again.
Isis smiled at Combustion, " He's cute~ I like him~" she said with a nod, " Though it looked like it really hurt when BB stung you, better have plenty of Antidotes on hand if you're going to be using her!"
She made a quick mental note of that, " Anyways, I don't have my Pokemon yet, I really should go get it though. Can't start a Pokemon journey without a Pokemon, after all!" she said, smiling as she walked over towards the lab where Skully's mom worked.
Placing her hand on the door, Isis slowly pushed it open and entered, smiling and waving as she did, " Good morning, Ms. Calloway~ Lovely day out, isn't it?" she greeted politely, her eyes roaming around the inside of the lab.
" I'm here to choose my starter Pokemon~ Have any recommendations? Or should I just pick whichever one?" she asked, her eyes resting on the pile of Pokeballs that seemed to have just been pushed off to one corner of the room, then towards Skully's mom as she bounced up and down on her feet in excitement.
Ms. Calloway quickly looked at Isis as she walked in. "Oh, hello Isis! Yes, please pick any two you like, but not more than one standard starter please! Where's Skully at? He went to look for you not to long ago...."
"Right here, mom!" Skully said as he came running in after Isis.
"Oh, there you are Skully! Combustion really seems to have taken a liking to you! You've only had him for half an hour though...... Maybe because he doesn't get to go outside the lab area much...... Or maybe.... Oh dear....." she said as she looked at how the little Cyndaquil was nuzzling his trainer.
"Maybe what, mom?" Skully asked.
"Oh nothing.... I lost my train of thought and forgot about something I needed to do yesterday, but it's no biggie..." the professor said as she turned her attention back to Isis. "So.... Make any choices yet?"
Isis rummaged through the Pokeballs while Skully talked with his mom, turning around and smiling, " I think I found two, let me see what they are," she said as she held one of her chosen Pokeballs out.
A flash of red light spilled out from it, a Bulbasaur popping out from the Pokeball, " Bulba!!" the little green dinosaur said as it struck a dramatic pose, before glancing around the room, looking at Ms. Calloway, then Skully, then to Isis.
The Bulbasaur stared at Isis for a moment, then leaped into her arms, hugging her with it's vines as it nuzzled her, " Bulbasaur bulba~!!"
She smiled and hugged the Bulbasaur back, " Awwwwww, it really seems to like me, a lot~" she said, before she held out the other one, " Alright, now for you~"
An Electrike came out of the second one, staring at Isis for a moment, before it promptly looked down towards the floor, avoiding eye contact.
" Awwwwww, you're cute too~" she said, bending down and reaching out to pet it, but her hand withdrew sharply before it came within even an inch of the Electrike, " Ouch! It shocked me a little..."
" Electrike..." it said in an apologetic sounding tone, though it did not look up, keeping it's eyes and nose towards the floor.
" It's alright~ So, will these two do?" Isis asked as she smiled to the Electrike, then looked up towards Ms. Calloway and Skully.
"Oh, those two? Yeah, that's fine!" Ms. Calloway said as she went back to her books.
"Alright, mom, I'm off with Isis!" Skully said as he took off down the road and occasionally jumped into the air out of excitement. "WOO!!!" he yelled and skidded to a stop as he got to Darkwood Forest. "Hmm..... If I remember correctly, this will lead us to the next town. Lots of grass and bug types, with some poison types....." he said as he waited for his friend. "Alright, Combustion. You ready to go on an adventure with me?" he asked as he did a fist pump.
The Cyndaquil smiled and did a fist pump as well. "Cynda!" he yelled and went back to nuzzling his trainer.
"You are sooooo cuuuute!" Skully said as he hugged his Pokemon. "I love you....." he said like a person would say to a dog.
"Cyndaquil! Cyndaquil!" Combustion said as he hugged the boy tightly and smiled really big.
"My my, you are so affectionate!" Skully said and hugged his Pokemon back. "I can tell that we're going to be best friends!"
" Great~!! Thanks Ms. Calloway~!!" Isis said with a smile, turning and exiting the lab with her Bulbasaur in her arms and the Electrike following her close behind.
As she walked quickly to catch up to Skully, she looked down to her two Pokemon, smiling to them, " I guess I should give you two names if you're going to be my Pokemon~ But what to name you..."
A thoughtful look crossed her face as she gazed at the Bulbasaur in her arms first, the little green grass dinosaur nuzzling her affectionately, " Names like Leaf or Petal seem a bit too generic and overused.... How about.... Demeter?" she asked, smiling as she patted the little Bulbasaur and scratched her behind the ears.
Demeter gave a soft, almost cooing noise as she seemed to approve of her new name, and hugged Isis tightly with her vines.
" Heh, quite the lovable one, aren't we?" she said with a giggle, hugging Demeter back, then her attention went to the female Electrike following behind at distance.
" Now for you... hmm.... I think I'll call you... Ampere, or just Amp for short~" she finally spoke after giving it a few moments of thought.
" Electrike~!!" Amp said as she glanced up, an excited expression on her face for a moment as slight sparks emanated from her body.
Isis jumped back a little to avoid said sparks, and Amp, seeing this, immediately glanced back down to the ground, " Elec...." she said in an apologetic tone, she hadn't meant to spook her trainer.
The girl smiled and reached down to pet Amp reassuringly, but withdrew her hand back a little, " Oh, right, I should probably get some rubber gloves or something so I can touch you, Amp, you're a bit... staticky, sorry," she said with a sheepish smile, just as they caught up to Skully.
" Sorry if I'm late~" she apologized with a small smile, then turned to face the Darkwood Forest that lay before them, " And now.... ADVENTURE TIME~!!!" she said as she did a dramatic pose, Demeter jumping out from her arms and posing in front of her as well and raring to fight.
Amp didn't say anything, but she walked up a little so that she stood beside Isis, but was careful to not be too close to her trainer, the Electrike's electrical power was still developing, and she couldn't control it very well as a result.
"Glad you finally made it here, slowpoke!" Skully said as he ran into the woods, but made sure to stay on the path. "WOO!" he yelled as he kept running with his arms up, but looked at the scenery around him. As the path ended, the woods got darker, making it really hard to see. He pulled out his Ipod and played the hard trance version of the song "Zombie" by The Cranberries. As he danced around to it, he made his way into the deeper part of the woods.
Combustion lit up the fire on his back as he got excited and danced around as well, which coincidentally helped them see better.
As the song ended, there was only silence; other than their footsteps, that is.
Combustion continued to dance around and smiled. "Cynda! Cyndaquil! Cynda! Cynda!" he said excitedly and climbed back into Skully's arms.
"You like to dance, huh?" Skully asked and smiled as he hugged his Pokemon.
Combustion hugged back and nuzzled his trainer. He looked back up and saw a pair of eyes.
When the small Pokemon revealed itself, it was shown to be a Joltik.
Skully's eye twitched as he looked at the spider and backed away. "S-spiders...." he said and shuddered.
Combustion, sensing Skully's fear, used Tackle and knocked the spider Pokemon down.
"You go, Combustion!" Skully said and watched as the Joltik prepared to use Spider Web. "Combustion, watch out!"
Combustion move out of the way of the web that was shot, but the web hit Skully and webbed him to the tree.
"Eww..... Oh my Arceus it's everywhere....." he said as he pulled on the sticky webbing. "Get it off! Get it off!"
Combustion's flames flared up as he tackled the Joltik hard, knocking it out and then kicked it as he walked over to Skully and used the flamed on his back to break the webbing.
Skully picked up his Cyndaquil and hugged him tight. "Thank you, little buddy!" he said and pulled out a Luxury Ball and threw it at the Joltik. When it stopped moving, he picked it up and looked at at Isis. "I don't like WILD spiders...." he said and examined the Luxury Ball. The strip turned a blue color, letting him know it was a male. "I dub thee Shox!" he said as he raised the Luxury Ball into the air.
Isis smiled, clapping her hands excitedly, " Good job on your first catch~!! Spiders creep me out though..." she said, shuddering a little as she glanced around a moment.
" Bug-types aren't exactly my cup of tea anyways, so... yeah, I probably won't be getting one anytime soon," she said, starting to walk a bit further into the forest, Demeter hopping along happily beside her, Amp sort of trailing behind as the Electrike glanced around here and there, shaking nervously.
A sudden sound came from nearby, and Demeter jumped, pushing Isis out of the way as Amp, in her moment of overwhelming fear, unleashed a Thunder Wave attack all of the sudden.
A few Pokemon dropped out of a couple of trees nearby, two Caterpies and a Ledyba, all three of them paralyzed from the attack.
" Bulba!!" Demeter shouted as she tackled into the paralyzed Pokemon, knocking them away and into a nearby bush, while Amp was cowering in the same spot she'd been rooted in after she'd unleashed the accidental Thunder Wave.
" Good job, Demeter~ Amp, are you okay?" she asked, a worried expression on her face as she bent down beside the scared Electrike, " Poor baby... Hey, Skully, do you have a pair of rubber gloves or something I can borrow? I want something so I can touch Amp without getting accidentally shocked..."
She wanted to reach out and pet Amp so she wouldn't be so scared as she was right now, but the Electrike was prone to accidentally shocking people and Pokemon if she was nervous or frightened, it seemed.
"Ummm...." Skully said as he dug into his bag. "Actually, I do! I brought two pairs for myself in case something like this were to happen to me, but you can have a pair." he said as he tossed a pair of rubber gloves to Isis. He proceeded to let Shox out of his ball and smiled as the little Pokemon jumped onto his face and nuzzled him. "He's soooo cuuuute! And soft! AND FLUFFY!!!" he said and jumped up and down in excitement. "EEEEEE!!"
Shox jumped down onto his trainers shoulder and smiled, although it was impossible to tell, due to the tufts of fur over his mouth. "Jolt! Jolt!" he said happily as he jumped up and down on Skully's shoulder.
Skully used his finger to lightly pet the Joltik, receiving a small amount of electricity through his finger, but nothing painful or dangerous due to how little the shock was.
Isis caught the rubber gloves tossed her way, " Thanks~" she said with a smile, donning the gloves before she reached out, gently petting Amp's head, the rubber absorbing any electrical shocks she would've gotten if she'd done this bare-handed.
The Electrike jumped a little upon feeling the strange fabric touch her fur, but closed her eyes, nuzzling gently into the hand that was petting her as she started to calm down a little.
" There you go~ Much better now," Isis chirped, gently picking up Amp so she could hold the Electrike.
She glanced to Skully, smiling to Shox, " Heh, I have to admit, he's rather cute for a spider~" she said with a giggle as she stroked Amp with her rubber-gloved hand while she held the Electrike with one arm.
" Bulba!!" Demeter exclaimed as she tackled lightly into Isis's leg, apparently wanting some attention too.
" Oh, Demeter, I didn't forget about you, don't be silly~" Isis said with a smile as she turned around and patted the Bulbasaur's head, before she stood up, still holding Amp in her arms, " Alright, let's keep on truckin' through this here forest, eh?" she said in a mock trucker accent, before she giggled and continued walking, Demeter staying close to her.
"Hehe.... Yeah.... He's soooo cuuuute!! Especially for a spider!" Skully said as he petted the Joltik again and started walking.
Combustion flared his flames up again when he got jealous of Shox getting all the attention. "Cynda! Cynda!" he yelled as he moved his head to Skully's shoulder and nuzzled him where his neck met his shoulder.
"Awww, he's getting jelly!" Skully said and petted Combustion as well. "I really should let BB out of her Poke Ball.... I'm just afraid that she'll run off......" he said and shrugged. "I can't force her to stay with me; if she wants to leave, she will..." he said and let the Weedle out of her Poke Ball.
BB looked around for a moment before turning to see her trainer and then immediately turned around and started walking. She stopped about five feet away from Skully and lifted her head in a "HMMPH!" fashion. Though when a Starly swooped down and grabbed her, she squirmed in the bird's claws and cried as she looked at her trainer.
"Arceus, dammit!" Skully yelled as he watched where the bird flew to; to the top of the tree nearest to him. "I'm coming, BB!" he yelled and put Combustion and Shox back in their Poke Balls before he started climbing the tree. About half-way up, he slipped on a branch and was hanging by one hand. "Oh Arceus!" he yelled and grabbed the branch and pulled himself up. He kept going, and before long, was completely out of sight. "Almost... there...." he said as he reached the top and saw the Starly pecking at the Weedle. "Get away from her!" he yelled as he swatted at the bird and grabbed BB and held her tight. "I got ya!" he said and started climbing down. The Starly came back and started pecking at him, and while trying to swat it away, slipped again and fell from the tree; falling fifty feet down, but holding onto BB tightly to ensure her safety; even if it cost him his life.
Just when he thought he was going to die, he closed his eyes, but didn't feel the impact of the ground. When he opened his eyes, he noticed that he was suspended by a lot of string on the lowest branch. "BB... You... saved me?" he asked as he looked at the Weedle and smiled.
"Wee! Weedle!" BB responded and loosened the string, allowing her trainer to get onto the ground safely.
Skully hugged BB lightly, as not to hurt her. "You're letting me hold you!" he said excitedly.
"Weedle! Wee!" the Weedle said as she nuzzled her trainer.
Skully grabbed a potion out of his bag and sprayed BB. "This may hurt a little, but it'll help heal those wounds...." he said, hoping she wouldn't go back to ignoring him.
BB winced a bit as she was sprayed, but went back to nuzzling her trainer. Though she climbed onto a branch and hung from a web and glowed in a bright, white light.
"Oooh....." Skully said as he watched.
When the light was gone, a Kakuna hung from a branch instead of a Weedle.
"Cool! BB evolved!" Skully said and let Combustion and Shox back out of their Poke Balls.
The Cyndaquil grabbed Skully's jeans and pulled, wanting to keep going with their journey.
"No, Combustion! I can't leave BB like that! She's in her immobile state right now." Skully said as he sat down and leaned against the tree that BB was hanging from. "I'm staying right here until she comes out of her cocoon. It would just be plain cruel to leave her alone here." he said. "Besides, it Darkwoods Forest, it gets dark REALLY early, so we might as well camp for the night." he said and relaxed.
BB let a tear roll down, which landed at Skully's feet.
Skully quickly got up and hugged BB. "Aww... Don't cry... It's okay...." he said and looked at the Kakuna. "You don't look sad.... Was that... A tear of joy?"
BB just stared, unable to speak or nod.
"Hmmm...... One shake for yes and two shakes for no." Skully said.
BB shook her body once.
"Awwww....." Skully said and hugged BB again. "I'm staying right here until you can move again." he said and sat back down.
Isis sighed and sat down as well, gently setting Amp down on the grass next to her, " Yeah, no one gets left behind if we can help it, on a sidenote, congratulations on BB's evolution, Skully~" she chirped with a smile, she couldn't help but feel warm and fuzzy inside from watching the boy and his newly evolved Kakuna bonding with each other.
With that in mind, she glanced towards her own Pokemon, Demeter seemed to be a happy, hard-working Bulbasaur, which was great, but it was Amp that Isis was worried about.
The little Electrike seemed to have troubles with controlling her powers, and such a thing could prove to be slightly problematic in the future...
Isis made a decision that she would try to help Amp get a handle on her powers so that she would be more in control, not randomly shocking things whenever she was touched or got scared... no matter at what cost to herself.
While she was immersed in her thoughts, she glanced to her side to see Amp had gotten a bit closer to her, though the Electrike seemed cautious, unsure, she was scared of accidentally hurting her trainer.
With a small smile, Isis reached out and gently patted Amp with the rubber gloves on her hands, but frowned, while the gloves protected her from the shock, it also prevented her from actually being able to feel the Electrike as she was.
" You know, Amp, I don't really need these," she said softly as she removed her gloves and tossed them aside, reaching out again to pet Amp again, but with her bare hands this time.
The Electrike was surprised at this gesture, her trainer had just thrown away the only thing that protected her from her unbound power, she was afraid that something bad would happen as she seemed to freeze in place, her muscles tense and the 'deer in headlights' look on her face as she watched Isis's ungloved hand getting closer to her.
As Isis's hand started to come in contact with green, staticky fur, there was a bit of shock, a bit stronger than the first time, but unlike before, she did not withdraw, and her fingers gently brushed Amp's fur as she placed her hand on the Electrike's head.
Amp did not move, but as she felt Isis's hand on her head, she slowly relaxed as the trainer's fingers rubbed along her green fur.
" Heh, you're actually...pretty soft~" Isis said with a smile as she continued petting Amp, " Perhaps love and care could help you start on learning how to control that static of yours~"
Amp leaned her head into Isis's hand, enjoying the petting, and decided that her trainer's touch felt much warmer, softer, than it had been with the rubber glove, she decided she liked this much better.
" But anyways, we should get to setting up camp," she said as she reluctantly pulled her hand away, and took out the sleeping bag she'd packed along with her stuff, unrolling it and setting it down on the ground behind her.
" You brought your sleeping bag too, right, Skully?" came the question as she turned and smiled at him in a way that said she was just playing around, " Arceus forbid you go camping out here in the woods without one!"
"Ooooh, noooo.... I didn't bring my sleeping bag.... I planned on sleeping like a Zubat in a tree!" he said sarcastically. "Of course I brought my sleeping bag! Thanks! Really, I had nothing to do with it though.... Congrats on possibly finding what Amp needs to control her shocking." he said as he pulled his sleeping bag out and laid it out. "There we go... Now we just need a campfire..... Combustion can you make us a campfire?" he asked.
The Cyndaquil nodded and made some small flames in order to make a campfire. "Cyndaquil!" he said excitedly when the fire was made.
"Great job, Combustion!" Skully said as he hugged his Cyndaquil.
BB looked down at everyone and wished she could be helping or at least spending time with them instead of being in the tree, but at least they hadn't ditched her.
Skully sat down on a fallen log and got his electric guitar out.

We don't need them!!" he played and then set his guitar to the side. "Ah.... Now wasn't that relaxing?" he said, making a reference to the Spongebob camping episode.
Combustion clapped his hands as he smiled, having enjoyed the performance.
Shox let loose a little electricity out of excitement.
BB just hung in place, wishing she could clap out of excitement.
Isis smiled as she clapped her hands in applause, " Excellent song for camping~" she said with a smile, Demeter was doing a little dance out of excitement, and Amp smiled, a bit of electricity releasing from her in the process.
The girl reached out to the campfire, rubbing her hands together as she warmed them up, " Damn, I would've brought marshmallows and hot dogs if I'd known we were gonna be camping out," she said, giggling a little bit as she started petting Amp again, getting a shock as the last time, but it wasn't all that bad now, she was probably getting used to the static.
" Bulba, Bulbasaur!!" Demeter exclaimed, she was getting a bit jealous of how Amp was receiving more attention than she was, and moved closer to Isis, nudging the girl's hand as if she was wanting to be petted too.
Isis smiled at the Bulbasaur, rubbing Demeter's head and scratching her behind the ears, " Ooooo, someone's jealous~ That better, Demie?" she asked.
Demeter snuggled up next to her, " Bulba~" she said cheerfully, seeming satisfied that she was getting some attention now.
With both Amp and Demeter relaxed and happy now, Isis glanced up towards towards BB, frowning a little, " Poor BB... I bet she wishes she could spend more time with us, it must be lonely for her in that tree... don't you think so, Skully?" she asked as she glanced from BB to Skully, then back to the Kakuna again.
"I know, right? That song would also be perfect for sleeping, flying, swimming, and weddings!" Skully said and laughed. "Yeah..... Hmmm..... " he said as he got up and climbed up the tree and lay on the branch. "This might work...." he said as he looked down and BB. "This help with the loneliness any?" he asked and received two shakes from BB. "Hmmm....... Maybe if I break the string, I can just hold onto her until she evolves....." he said as he pulled the Kakuna up to him and broke the string that was attached to the tree before climbing down. "There we go! Now she can spend time with us..... Even if she can't really do anything right now." he said as he hugged her. "This better?" Skully asked.
BB shook once and smiled, even though it wasn't noticeable.
"Alright." Skully said as he sat down on the log again, but farther away from the fire so that BB wouldn't get scared or hurt. He hugged the Kakuna tightly and smiled. "I bet you'll be a beautiful Beedrill......" he said and smiled.
BB blushed in response.
"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm going to need my rest for tomorrow if I'm going to continue hiking through these woods. I'm going to bed." Skully said as he got into his sleeping bag and continued holding onto BB.
Combustion quickly got into the sleeping bag as well and cuddled up to his trainer.
Shox climbed into the sleeping bag and climbed onto Skully's shirt before yawning and falling asleep.
Isis shrugged, " Yeah, I should get some sleep too," she said, standing up and stretching a little, going over and stomping out the campfire so that it wouldn't burn all night and cause problems, then she gently picked up Amp off the grass, holding the Electrike as she climbed into her sleeping bag.
She tucked Amp in so that the Electrike wouldn't be cold or anything, " This good for you?" she asked, gently rubbing Amp's head.
The Electrike gave a nod in response, cuddling up close and closing her eyes, falling asleep immediately.
Demeter got into the sleeping bag with them, snuggling up closely to Isis before falling asleep as well.
" Well, good night to you both, good night Skully~" Isis said, sighing softly before she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
It wasn't long after she started to fall into deep sleep when she felt Amp nuzzle her, her eyes opened as she saw the Electrike had woken up for some reason.
" Hm? What's wrong, Amp? Have a bad dream?" she asked, to which Amp just looked down, " Or just can't sleep? Is that it?"
Amp nodded, Isis smiling at the Electrike, " Maybe a nice lullaby will help~ I've got one that I remember from when I was a little girl, my mom used to sing it to me whenever I couldn't sleep~"
With that, she held Amp close to her, closing her eyes and softly singing,

By the time Isis had finished singing, Amp had fallen fast asleep, the girl smiled and gently rubbed her Pokemon's head, " Sweet dreams, Amp~" she whispered softly.
A sigh escaping her lips, Isis lay her head down, closing her eyes and letting herself drift off to Dreamland as well.
Skully's mom turned around and gave her son a weird look. "You look like you just got up. I really don't think your set to go on an adventure just yet. Don't you need supplies?"
"No, mom! I mean, I'm ready to pick my starter Pokemon!" Skully responded.
"Oh well, first I need to tell you some rules that have changed since the last people left. First of all, there is no limit to how many Pokemon you can have with you, but you can only use seven in battle. Second of all, it seems all the Pokemon have migrated to all the regions, including this one. Third, there is no need for a Pokedex. We have all the info we need. Fourth, you can catch legendaries now, but it's almost impossible to catch them, let alone find them." Skully's mom said. "Anyways, I'll let you have a starter and one other, but I advise you to start off with something easy like a Pidgey or Slowpoke."
Skully nodded. "Go it." he said as he walked over to a shelf that had about one of everything that wasn't a legendary. "Woow....." he said as he turned his attention to a shelf that was in the corner and only had about twenty or so Poke Balls on it. "Why are these separate?"
"Well, they have problems, Skully. They're.... How do I put this..... Different from others....." his mom said.
"Well, what about these two?" Skully asked as he picked up two Poke Balls, one containing a Cyndaquil and one containing a Weedle.
"Well, the Weedle wants nothing to do with people. She won't even look at people who are talking to her and she Poison Stings you if you try and touch her. The Cyndaquil just doesn't seem to take an interest in females, making it impossible to breed. He does go after the males a lot though..." she said.
"I want these two!" Skully said excitedly.
"Skully, if the Weedle gets to a Beedrill, she'll murder you due to her temperament!" Skully's mom said and sighed. "Is those two REALLY the ones you want?"
"Yes, mom.... I think the Weedle just needs some love and attention and in time, she'll see it's not so bad." Skully said as he smiled.
"Hopefully.... Anyways, I've been working on a few inventions, but they're not quite done yet..... One of them is the thought translator. You wear it on your wrist and it won't get ruined or broken. What it does is more specifically designed to help you understand what your Pokemon are saying. Another is a Poke Ball specifically designed for legendaries; that way it's easier to catch them. The last one is a Pokemon anthropomorphizer. That one is just for you since I know you have certain fantasies, but please! PLEASE! Don't let anyone see you doing things.... On the other hand, I've found a way to distinguish males from females in every Pokemon; even legendaries have genders, but all you have to do is throw any kind of Poke Ball at a Pokemon and when you catch it, it'll tell you the gender by either the little strip turning blue for male or pink for female. If you ever happen to catch a legendary, PLEASE bring it back here so I can see! I won't do any tests or anything, but I want to see it up close."
"Thanks mom! Well, I have your number! I'm going to go grab my things and get ready before seeing if my friend, Isis is ready." Skully said as he ran back to the house and started packing, making sure he had plenty of Potions, Antidotes, Luxury Balls, money, and clothes. "Alright, let's meet my starting team!" he said and let out the Weedle and Cyndaquil.
The Weedle looked at the boy for about two seconds before looking away.
"Aww.... It's alright little Weedle......" he said as he picked it up and got stung. "Oww....." he said, but still held onto it and hugged it as he got stung repeatedly. "Come on! What do you have against a hug!" Skully said and put the Weedle down and took an Antidote. "Alright little lady, your name is BB." he said and looked at the Cyndaquil, who was just sitting down and staring at the boy. "Aww~ You're so cuuute!" he said and picked the little Pokemon up and held it.
"Cynda! Cynda!" the Cyndaquil said in happiness and hugged the boy.
"Oh wow, that's really warm!" Skully said and hugged back. "Your name will be Combustion." he said and put them both back into their Poke Balls before heading out with his bag. He went next door and knocked on his friend's door. "Isis! Isis! It's Skully! Are you ready?"
The door swung open, revealing not Isis but her older brother, Derrick, who smiled to Skully, " Hey, Skully my man! I think Isis is still sleeping upstairs, I'll go get her," he said, leaving the door open as he ran up the stairs.
Walking down the upstairs hall, he stopped in front of the door to his little sister's room, grabbing the knob and trying to turn it, but it wouldn't open.
" Right, I forgot she locks the door to her room each night," he muttered, before he knocked hard on the door, " Yo! Izzy! You up?"
" Let me sleep for five more minutes!" she shouted back from behind the door, sounding a bit irritated that he was making her wake up, since she usually slept in.
Derrick grinned a little, before he leaned against the wall next to the door, " You sure? You haven't forgotten that you were gonna go on a Pokemon journey with Skully starting today, did you?"
There was a pause, then the sound of feet dashing about the room sounded, and, moments later, there was the click of the door being unlocked, and Isis burst out of her room, fully dressed, hair brushed, and shoes on her feet.
" Of course I didn't forget! Don't be ridiculous~!!" she said, trying to keep a serious look on her face, but failed as she smiled and burst into giggles, " But I should get going now, that was Skully at the door, right? Kay thanks bye!"
She turned and started to head downstairs, but was stopped when Derrick stepped in front of her and blocked her way, " Now hold on there, little missy," he said as he frowned at her for a moment, then smiled and spread his arms, " You're not leaving without giving your big bro a hug, are ya?"
Isis smiled and jumped, wrapping her arms around him as she hugged him tightly, " Of course not~ I'll miss you, Derry," she said, nuzzling into his shoulder.
Her big brother laughed, " Heh, no need to worry, Izzy. If you ever need something, or if you miss me or ever get homesick, you have my number in your phone, all you have to do is just give me a call. All I want for you to do is be careful and have fun on this journey, alright?" Derrick said as he hugged her back, " It'll be pretty lonely and quiet around here without you and Skully, just try to give me a call every once in a while, I'll miss you so much, Izzy..."
Isis nodded and held up her phone, " I promise~ I wish you could come with us, but someone needs to take care of the house... Anyways, I should go now, wouldn't want to keep Skully waiting, bye, big bro, miss you!" she said, calling out the last part to him because she was already rushing down the stairs.
" Bye, Izzy! Good luck and have fun!" Derrick called after her, before he looked into her room and saw it was a bit messy, " Kids these days, she could've at least cleaned up before leaving," he said as he shook his head, before going in and starting to pick up the mess.
Upon reaching the front door, which had been left open from when her brother answered it, Isis ran outside and glomped her friend as she came out, " Skullyyyyy~!!!" she squealed happily, before she stepped back a bit and smiled to him, " So we're going on a Pokemon journey, huh? Sounds exciting~!! Did you already get your starter Pokemon from your mom's lab?"
"Yes, I have! Have you already gotten your? My mom's working on some inventions at the moment. She'll let us know when they're done!" Skully said as he hugged his friend. "Here, I'll show you the two I got!" he said as he let out his Weedle and Cyndaquil. "The female Weedle is BB and the male Cyndaquil is Combustion." he said as he picked up both.
BB stung Skully again and jumped down.
"Owwww....." Skully said as he rubbed the spot. "Well, not poisoned this time....." he said and smiled at the Cyndaquil.
Combustion hugged his trainer and nuzzled him. Then he looked up and smiled as he warmed his own body up and, in turn, warmed up his trainer.
"Well, it's nice to know one of my Pokemon likes me!" Skully said as he hugged the little Cyndaquil back. "My mom said these two have 'issues'. BB doesn't like people at all and Combustion is apparently gay, as he doesn't go after the females, but does tend to go after the males quite a bit." he said and returned the Weedle to her Poke Ball and left Combustion out. "Since you seem to be so attached to me, I'll just let you stay out here with us."
"Cynda! Cyndaquil!" he said and nuzzled the boy again.
Isis smiled at Combustion, " He's cute~ I like him~" she said with a nod, " Though it looked like it really hurt when BB stung you, better have plenty of Antidotes on hand if you're going to be using her!"
She made a quick mental note of that, " Anyways, I don't have my Pokemon yet, I really should go get it though. Can't start a Pokemon journey without a Pokemon, after all!" she said, smiling as she walked over towards the lab where Skully's mom worked.
Placing her hand on the door, Isis slowly pushed it open and entered, smiling and waving as she did, " Good morning, Ms. Calloway~ Lovely day out, isn't it?" she greeted politely, her eyes roaming around the inside of the lab.
" I'm here to choose my starter Pokemon~ Have any recommendations? Or should I just pick whichever one?" she asked, her eyes resting on the pile of Pokeballs that seemed to have just been pushed off to one corner of the room, then towards Skully's mom as she bounced up and down on her feet in excitement.
Ms. Calloway quickly looked at Isis as she walked in. "Oh, hello Isis! Yes, please pick any two you like, but not more than one standard starter please! Where's Skully at? He went to look for you not to long ago...."
"Right here, mom!" Skully said as he came running in after Isis.
"Oh, there you are Skully! Combustion really seems to have taken a liking to you! You've only had him for half an hour though...... Maybe because he doesn't get to go outside the lab area much...... Or maybe.... Oh dear....." she said as she looked at how the little Cyndaquil was nuzzling his trainer.
"Maybe what, mom?" Skully asked.
"Oh nothing.... I lost my train of thought and forgot about something I needed to do yesterday, but it's no biggie..." the professor said as she turned her attention back to Isis. "So.... Make any choices yet?"
Isis rummaged through the Pokeballs while Skully talked with his mom, turning around and smiling, " I think I found two, let me see what they are," she said as she held one of her chosen Pokeballs out.
A flash of red light spilled out from it, a Bulbasaur popping out from the Pokeball, " Bulba!!" the little green dinosaur said as it struck a dramatic pose, before glancing around the room, looking at Ms. Calloway, then Skully, then to Isis.
The Bulbasaur stared at Isis for a moment, then leaped into her arms, hugging her with it's vines as it nuzzled her, " Bulbasaur bulba~!!"
She smiled and hugged the Bulbasaur back, " Awwwwww, it really seems to like me, a lot~" she said, before she held out the other one, " Alright, now for you~"
An Electrike came out of the second one, staring at Isis for a moment, before it promptly looked down towards the floor, avoiding eye contact.
" Awwwwww, you're cute too~" she said, bending down and reaching out to pet it, but her hand withdrew sharply before it came within even an inch of the Electrike, " Ouch! It shocked me a little..."
" Electrike..." it said in an apologetic sounding tone, though it did not look up, keeping it's eyes and nose towards the floor.
" It's alright~ So, will these two do?" Isis asked as she smiled to the Electrike, then looked up towards Ms. Calloway and Skully.
"Oh, those two? Yeah, that's fine!" Ms. Calloway said as she went back to her books.
"Alright, mom, I'm off with Isis!" Skully said as he took off down the road and occasionally jumped into the air out of excitement. "WOO!!!" he yelled and skidded to a stop as he got to Darkwood Forest. "Hmm..... If I remember correctly, this will lead us to the next town. Lots of grass and bug types, with some poison types....." he said as he waited for his friend. "Alright, Combustion. You ready to go on an adventure with me?" he asked as he did a fist pump.
The Cyndaquil smiled and did a fist pump as well. "Cynda!" he yelled and went back to nuzzling his trainer.
"You are sooooo cuuuute!" Skully said as he hugged his Pokemon. "I love you....." he said like a person would say to a dog.
"Cyndaquil! Cyndaquil!" Combustion said as he hugged the boy tightly and smiled really big.
"My my, you are so affectionate!" Skully said and hugged his Pokemon back. "I can tell that we're going to be best friends!"
" Great~!! Thanks Ms. Calloway~!!" Isis said with a smile, turning and exiting the lab with her Bulbasaur in her arms and the Electrike following her close behind.
As she walked quickly to catch up to Skully, she looked down to her two Pokemon, smiling to them, " I guess I should give you two names if you're going to be my Pokemon~ But what to name you..."
A thoughtful look crossed her face as she gazed at the Bulbasaur in her arms first, the little green grass dinosaur nuzzling her affectionately, " Names like Leaf or Petal seem a bit too generic and overused.... How about.... Demeter?" she asked, smiling as she patted the little Bulbasaur and scratched her behind the ears.
Demeter gave a soft, almost cooing noise as she seemed to approve of her new name, and hugged Isis tightly with her vines.
" Heh, quite the lovable one, aren't we?" she said with a giggle, hugging Demeter back, then her attention went to the female Electrike following behind at distance.
" Now for you... hmm.... I think I'll call you... Ampere, or just Amp for short~" she finally spoke after giving it a few moments of thought.
" Electrike~!!" Amp said as she glanced up, an excited expression on her face for a moment as slight sparks emanated from her body.
Isis jumped back a little to avoid said sparks, and Amp, seeing this, immediately glanced back down to the ground, " Elec...." she said in an apologetic tone, she hadn't meant to spook her trainer.
The girl smiled and reached down to pet Amp reassuringly, but withdrew her hand back a little, " Oh, right, I should probably get some rubber gloves or something so I can touch you, Amp, you're a bit... staticky, sorry," she said with a sheepish smile, just as they caught up to Skully.
" Sorry if I'm late~" she apologized with a small smile, then turned to face the Darkwood Forest that lay before them, " And now.... ADVENTURE TIME~!!!" she said as she did a dramatic pose, Demeter jumping out from her arms and posing in front of her as well and raring to fight.
Amp didn't say anything, but she walked up a little so that she stood beside Isis, but was careful to not be too close to her trainer, the Electrike's electrical power was still developing, and she couldn't control it very well as a result.
"Glad you finally made it here, slowpoke!" Skully said as he ran into the woods, but made sure to stay on the path. "WOO!" he yelled as he kept running with his arms up, but looked at the scenery around him. As the path ended, the woods got darker, making it really hard to see. He pulled out his Ipod and played the hard trance version of the song "Zombie" by The Cranberries. As he danced around to it, he made his way into the deeper part of the woods.
Combustion lit up the fire on his back as he got excited and danced around as well, which coincidentally helped them see better.
As the song ended, there was only silence; other than their footsteps, that is.
Combustion continued to dance around and smiled. "Cynda! Cyndaquil! Cynda! Cynda!" he said excitedly and climbed back into Skully's arms.
"You like to dance, huh?" Skully asked and smiled as he hugged his Pokemon.
Combustion hugged back and nuzzled his trainer. He looked back up and saw a pair of eyes.
When the small Pokemon revealed itself, it was shown to be a Joltik.
Skully's eye twitched as he looked at the spider and backed away. "S-spiders...." he said and shuddered.
Combustion, sensing Skully's fear, used Tackle and knocked the spider Pokemon down.
"You go, Combustion!" Skully said and watched as the Joltik prepared to use Spider Web. "Combustion, watch out!"
Combustion move out of the way of the web that was shot, but the web hit Skully and webbed him to the tree.
"Eww..... Oh my Arceus it's everywhere....." he said as he pulled on the sticky webbing. "Get it off! Get it off!"
Combustion's flames flared up as he tackled the Joltik hard, knocking it out and then kicked it as he walked over to Skully and used the flamed on his back to break the webbing.
Skully picked up his Cyndaquil and hugged him tight. "Thank you, little buddy!" he said and pulled out a Luxury Ball and threw it at the Joltik. When it stopped moving, he picked it up and looked at at Isis. "I don't like WILD spiders...." he said and examined the Luxury Ball. The strip turned a blue color, letting him know it was a male. "I dub thee Shox!" he said as he raised the Luxury Ball into the air.
Isis smiled, clapping her hands excitedly, " Good job on your first catch~!! Spiders creep me out though..." she said, shuddering a little as she glanced around a moment.
" Bug-types aren't exactly my cup of tea anyways, so... yeah, I probably won't be getting one anytime soon," she said, starting to walk a bit further into the forest, Demeter hopping along happily beside her, Amp sort of trailing behind as the Electrike glanced around here and there, shaking nervously.
A sudden sound came from nearby, and Demeter jumped, pushing Isis out of the way as Amp, in her moment of overwhelming fear, unleashed a Thunder Wave attack all of the sudden.
A few Pokemon dropped out of a couple of trees nearby, two Caterpies and a Ledyba, all three of them paralyzed from the attack.
" Bulba!!" Demeter shouted as she tackled into the paralyzed Pokemon, knocking them away and into a nearby bush, while Amp was cowering in the same spot she'd been rooted in after she'd unleashed the accidental Thunder Wave.
" Good job, Demeter~ Amp, are you okay?" she asked, a worried expression on her face as she bent down beside the scared Electrike, " Poor baby... Hey, Skully, do you have a pair of rubber gloves or something I can borrow? I want something so I can touch Amp without getting accidentally shocked..."
She wanted to reach out and pet Amp so she wouldn't be so scared as she was right now, but the Electrike was prone to accidentally shocking people and Pokemon if she was nervous or frightened, it seemed.
"Ummm...." Skully said as he dug into his bag. "Actually, I do! I brought two pairs for myself in case something like this were to happen to me, but you can have a pair." he said as he tossed a pair of rubber gloves to Isis. He proceeded to let Shox out of his ball and smiled as the little Pokemon jumped onto his face and nuzzled him. "He's soooo cuuuute! And soft! AND FLUFFY!!!" he said and jumped up and down in excitement. "EEEEEE!!"
Shox jumped down onto his trainers shoulder and smiled, although it was impossible to tell, due to the tufts of fur over his mouth. "Jolt! Jolt!" he said happily as he jumped up and down on Skully's shoulder.
Skully used his finger to lightly pet the Joltik, receiving a small amount of electricity through his finger, but nothing painful or dangerous due to how little the shock was.
Isis caught the rubber gloves tossed her way, " Thanks~" she said with a smile, donning the gloves before she reached out, gently petting Amp's head, the rubber absorbing any electrical shocks she would've gotten if she'd done this bare-handed.
The Electrike jumped a little upon feeling the strange fabric touch her fur, but closed her eyes, nuzzling gently into the hand that was petting her as she started to calm down a little.
" There you go~ Much better now," Isis chirped, gently picking up Amp so she could hold the Electrike.
She glanced to Skully, smiling to Shox, " Heh, I have to admit, he's rather cute for a spider~" she said with a giggle as she stroked Amp with her rubber-gloved hand while she held the Electrike with one arm.
" Bulba!!" Demeter exclaimed as she tackled lightly into Isis's leg, apparently wanting some attention too.
" Oh, Demeter, I didn't forget about you, don't be silly~" Isis said with a smile as she turned around and patted the Bulbasaur's head, before she stood up, still holding Amp in her arms, " Alright, let's keep on truckin' through this here forest, eh?" she said in a mock trucker accent, before she giggled and continued walking, Demeter staying close to her.
"Hehe.... Yeah.... He's soooo cuuuute!! Especially for a spider!" Skully said as he petted the Joltik again and started walking.
Combustion flared his flames up again when he got jealous of Shox getting all the attention. "Cynda! Cynda!" he yelled as he moved his head to Skully's shoulder and nuzzled him where his neck met his shoulder.
"Awww, he's getting jelly!" Skully said and petted Combustion as well. "I really should let BB out of her Poke Ball.... I'm just afraid that she'll run off......" he said and shrugged. "I can't force her to stay with me; if she wants to leave, she will..." he said and let the Weedle out of her Poke Ball.
BB looked around for a moment before turning to see her trainer and then immediately turned around and started walking. She stopped about five feet away from Skully and lifted her head in a "HMMPH!" fashion. Though when a Starly swooped down and grabbed her, she squirmed in the bird's claws and cried as she looked at her trainer.
"Arceus, dammit!" Skully yelled as he watched where the bird flew to; to the top of the tree nearest to him. "I'm coming, BB!" he yelled and put Combustion and Shox back in their Poke Balls before he started climbing the tree. About half-way up, he slipped on a branch and was hanging by one hand. "Oh Arceus!" he yelled and grabbed the branch and pulled himself up. He kept going, and before long, was completely out of sight. "Almost... there...." he said as he reached the top and saw the Starly pecking at the Weedle. "Get away from her!" he yelled as he swatted at the bird and grabbed BB and held her tight. "I got ya!" he said and started climbing down. The Starly came back and started pecking at him, and while trying to swat it away, slipped again and fell from the tree; falling fifty feet down, but holding onto BB tightly to ensure her safety; even if it cost him his life.
Just when he thought he was going to die, he closed his eyes, but didn't feel the impact of the ground. When he opened his eyes, he noticed that he was suspended by a lot of string on the lowest branch. "BB... You... saved me?" he asked as he looked at the Weedle and smiled.
"Wee! Weedle!" BB responded and loosened the string, allowing her trainer to get onto the ground safely.
Skully hugged BB lightly, as not to hurt her. "You're letting me hold you!" he said excitedly.
"Weedle! Wee!" the Weedle said as she nuzzled her trainer.
Skully grabbed a potion out of his bag and sprayed BB. "This may hurt a little, but it'll help heal those wounds...." he said, hoping she wouldn't go back to ignoring him.
BB winced a bit as she was sprayed, but went back to nuzzling her trainer. Though she climbed onto a branch and hung from a web and glowed in a bright, white light.
"Oooh....." Skully said as he watched.
When the light was gone, a Kakuna hung from a branch instead of a Weedle.
"Cool! BB evolved!" Skully said and let Combustion and Shox back out of their Poke Balls.
The Cyndaquil grabbed Skully's jeans and pulled, wanting to keep going with their journey.
"No, Combustion! I can't leave BB like that! She's in her immobile state right now." Skully said as he sat down and leaned against the tree that BB was hanging from. "I'm staying right here until she comes out of her cocoon. It would just be plain cruel to leave her alone here." he said. "Besides, it Darkwoods Forest, it gets dark REALLY early, so we might as well camp for the night." he said and relaxed.
BB let a tear roll down, which landed at Skully's feet.
Skully quickly got up and hugged BB. "Aww... Don't cry... It's okay...." he said and looked at the Kakuna. "You don't look sad.... Was that... A tear of joy?"
BB just stared, unable to speak or nod.
"Hmmm...... One shake for yes and two shakes for no." Skully said.
BB shook her body once.
"Awwww....." Skully said and hugged BB again. "I'm staying right here until you can move again." he said and sat back down.
Isis sighed and sat down as well, gently setting Amp down on the grass next to her, " Yeah, no one gets left behind if we can help it, on a sidenote, congratulations on BB's evolution, Skully~" she chirped with a smile, she couldn't help but feel warm and fuzzy inside from watching the boy and his newly evolved Kakuna bonding with each other.
With that in mind, she glanced towards her own Pokemon, Demeter seemed to be a happy, hard-working Bulbasaur, which was great, but it was Amp that Isis was worried about.
The little Electrike seemed to have troubles with controlling her powers, and such a thing could prove to be slightly problematic in the future...
Isis made a decision that she would try to help Amp get a handle on her powers so that she would be more in control, not randomly shocking things whenever she was touched or got scared... no matter at what cost to herself.
While she was immersed in her thoughts, she glanced to her side to see Amp had gotten a bit closer to her, though the Electrike seemed cautious, unsure, she was scared of accidentally hurting her trainer.
With a small smile, Isis reached out and gently patted Amp with the rubber gloves on her hands, but frowned, while the gloves protected her from the shock, it also prevented her from actually being able to feel the Electrike as she was.
" You know, Amp, I don't really need these," she said softly as she removed her gloves and tossed them aside, reaching out again to pet Amp again, but with her bare hands this time.
The Electrike was surprised at this gesture, her trainer had just thrown away the only thing that protected her from her unbound power, she was afraid that something bad would happen as she seemed to freeze in place, her muscles tense and the 'deer in headlights' look on her face as she watched Isis's ungloved hand getting closer to her.
As Isis's hand started to come in contact with green, staticky fur, there was a bit of shock, a bit stronger than the first time, but unlike before, she did not withdraw, and her fingers gently brushed Amp's fur as she placed her hand on the Electrike's head.
Amp did not move, but as she felt Isis's hand on her head, she slowly relaxed as the trainer's fingers rubbed along her green fur.
" Heh, you're actually...pretty soft~" Isis said with a smile as she continued petting Amp, " Perhaps love and care could help you start on learning how to control that static of yours~"
Amp leaned her head into Isis's hand, enjoying the petting, and decided that her trainer's touch felt much warmer, softer, than it had been with the rubber glove, she decided she liked this much better.
" But anyways, we should get to setting up camp," she said as she reluctantly pulled her hand away, and took out the sleeping bag she'd packed along with her stuff, unrolling it and setting it down on the ground behind her.
" You brought your sleeping bag too, right, Skully?" came the question as she turned and smiled at him in a way that said she was just playing around, " Arceus forbid you go camping out here in the woods without one!"
"Ooooh, noooo.... I didn't bring my sleeping bag.... I planned on sleeping like a Zubat in a tree!" he said sarcastically. "Of course I brought my sleeping bag! Thanks! Really, I had nothing to do with it though.... Congrats on possibly finding what Amp needs to control her shocking." he said as he pulled his sleeping bag out and laid it out. "There we go... Now we just need a campfire..... Combustion can you make us a campfire?" he asked.
The Cyndaquil nodded and made some small flames in order to make a campfire. "Cyndaquil!" he said excitedly when the fire was made.
"Great job, Combustion!" Skully said as he hugged his Cyndaquil.
BB looked down at everyone and wished she could be helping or at least spending time with them instead of being in the tree, but at least they hadn't ditched her.
Skully sat down on a fallen log and got his electric guitar out.

We don't need them!!" he played and then set his guitar to the side. "Ah.... Now wasn't that relaxing?" he said, making a reference to the Spongebob camping episode.
Combustion clapped his hands as he smiled, having enjoyed the performance.
Shox let loose a little electricity out of excitement.
BB just hung in place, wishing she could clap out of excitement.
Isis smiled as she clapped her hands in applause, " Excellent song for camping~" she said with a smile, Demeter was doing a little dance out of excitement, and Amp smiled, a bit of electricity releasing from her in the process.
The girl reached out to the campfire, rubbing her hands together as she warmed them up, " Damn, I would've brought marshmallows and hot dogs if I'd known we were gonna be camping out," she said, giggling a little bit as she started petting Amp again, getting a shock as the last time, but it wasn't all that bad now, she was probably getting used to the static.
" Bulba, Bulbasaur!!" Demeter exclaimed, she was getting a bit jealous of how Amp was receiving more attention than she was, and moved closer to Isis, nudging the girl's hand as if she was wanting to be petted too.
Isis smiled at the Bulbasaur, rubbing Demeter's head and scratching her behind the ears, " Ooooo, someone's jealous~ That better, Demie?" she asked.
Demeter snuggled up next to her, " Bulba~" she said cheerfully, seeming satisfied that she was getting some attention now.
With both Amp and Demeter relaxed and happy now, Isis glanced up towards towards BB, frowning a little, " Poor BB... I bet she wishes she could spend more time with us, it must be lonely for her in that tree... don't you think so, Skully?" she asked as she glanced from BB to Skully, then back to the Kakuna again.
"I know, right? That song would also be perfect for sleeping, flying, swimming, and weddings!" Skully said and laughed. "Yeah..... Hmmm..... " he said as he got up and climbed up the tree and lay on the branch. "This might work...." he said as he looked down and BB. "This help with the loneliness any?" he asked and received two shakes from BB. "Hmmm....... Maybe if I break the string, I can just hold onto her until she evolves....." he said as he pulled the Kakuna up to him and broke the string that was attached to the tree before climbing down. "There we go! Now she can spend time with us..... Even if she can't really do anything right now." he said as he hugged her. "This better?" Skully asked.
BB shook once and smiled, even though it wasn't noticeable.
"Alright." Skully said as he sat down on the log again, but farther away from the fire so that BB wouldn't get scared or hurt. He hugged the Kakuna tightly and smiled. "I bet you'll be a beautiful Beedrill......" he said and smiled.
BB blushed in response.
"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm going to need my rest for tomorrow if I'm going to continue hiking through these woods. I'm going to bed." Skully said as he got into his sleeping bag and continued holding onto BB.
Combustion quickly got into the sleeping bag as well and cuddled up to his trainer.
Shox climbed into the sleeping bag and climbed onto Skully's shirt before yawning and falling asleep.
Isis shrugged, " Yeah, I should get some sleep too," she said, standing up and stretching a little, going over and stomping out the campfire so that it wouldn't burn all night and cause problems, then she gently picked up Amp off the grass, holding the Electrike as she climbed into her sleeping bag.
She tucked Amp in so that the Electrike wouldn't be cold or anything, " This good for you?" she asked, gently rubbing Amp's head.
The Electrike gave a nod in response, cuddling up close and closing her eyes, falling asleep immediately.
Demeter got into the sleeping bag with them, snuggling up closely to Isis before falling asleep as well.
" Well, good night to you both, good night Skully~" Isis said, sighing softly before she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
It wasn't long after she started to fall into deep sleep when she felt Amp nuzzle her, her eyes opened as she saw the Electrike had woken up for some reason.
" Hm? What's wrong, Amp? Have a bad dream?" she asked, to which Amp just looked down, " Or just can't sleep? Is that it?"
Amp nodded, Isis smiling at the Electrike, " Maybe a nice lullaby will help~ I've got one that I remember from when I was a little girl, my mom used to sing it to me whenever I couldn't sleep~"
With that, she held Amp close to her, closing her eyes and softly singing,
" I went into the woods today to see what I could find,
I saw an owl and he told me that he was wise.

By the time Isis had finished singing, Amp had fallen fast asleep, the girl smiled and gently rubbed her Pokemon's head, " Sweet dreams, Amp~" she whispered softly.
A sigh escaping her lips, Isis lay her head down, closing her eyes and letting herself drift off to Dreamland as well.
